So, with the exception of about 40 minutes on Monday, it’s been 8 days since I’ve really kicked back and read for pleasure — just one of those weeks where I couldn’t fit it in, and boy, I could tell. Seemed everything was off. You ever have weeks like that?
With the holiday and the end of the year, there wasn’t a whole lot that caught my eye online books and reading — and in away a couple of these are just slightly different takes on the same thing. You’ve probably seen some/most/all of them, but just in case:
- Bestselling books 2015: Fifty Shades still on top — The Guardian analyzes the year in bestsellers.
- Print Book Sales Are on the Rise Due to YouTube Stars? — some positive numbers this year.
- Why print book sales are rising, and books are getting longer — The CSM looks at what those positives might say.
- 10 favorite stories about books and reading for 2015 — This is a nice collection. I’ve linked to many of these this year, and wish I’d seen most of the rest earlier.
Lastly, I’d like to say hi and welcome to fictionistasan, cabeswater and Crime Time Podcast (looking forward to checking out the podcast) for following the blog this week. Thanks to Walter Hackman for the blog comment and A. S. Minor for the email. I really appreciate hearing from visitors here.
(Brandon Sanderson said that somewhere)
