October 2017 Report

October’s been a frustrating month for me, and I’m glad to put it behind me. Almost everything took a day or more longer than I thought it would to read, I had a hard time writing a few posts (don’t ask me why), and like I mentioned yesterday, I got knocked out by a stupid cold for a few days. On the other hand, looking back at this post, I read some pretty cool books — and when I can focus on that, this is a pretty fun hobby. And If I can accomplish most of what I want to in November, this’ll be a much happier post next month.

But enough of that, here’s what happened here in October.

  1. Still seems a pretty full month!

  2. Yep, I was glad October was over as well. And just like you said above, my monthly roundup post help correct some tunnel vision I had.

Any particular plans for november, or just powering through what’s on your list? I’ve got the next Malazan book by Esslemont on tap, as soon as it comes out that is. Probably the first time this year I’m moving a book to the head of the line so fast and so promptly…

    • Mostly powering through — but there’s a new Jack Reacher book on the horizon, Weir’s Artemis, and a book by a certain S. C. Flynn that should be highlights for the month.

I remember reading your post yesterday and thinking, “Oh, good for him.” Didn’t think of it again until I’d scheduled this to go up. Here’s looking forward to next month’s write-ups.
