Odds ‘n ends over the week about books and reading that caught my eye. You’ve probably seen some/most/all of them, but just in case:
- so, am I the only one who has no idea what Alice Munro writes? I’ve seen the name, but until this week, didn’t realize I was missing out on anything.
- Why Charlotte Brontë Hated Jane Austen — And I thought I couldn’t like Brontë more. I should probably get my hands on this book.
- How To Become A Better Reader — Some excellent advice here — for young and older alike
- The Thirtysomething Teen: An Adult YA Addict Comes Clean — Jen Doll speaks for many here (bonus points for the Eleanor & Park quote
- New book deal – SHIELD AND CROCUS — it’ll be weird to have a paperback copy of a Michael R. Underwood book, but oh so nice.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Kunal Nayyar is writing a memoir — this should be a good read- Interview with Kevin Hearne — a good interview with one of my favorite UF (and probably epic fantasy) writers
- This Week’s New Releases I’m Excited About and/or You’ll Probably See Here Soon:
- The House of Hades by Rick Riordan — The Heroes of Olympus series keeps barreling along
- The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch — oh, goody, goody, goody — the third Gentlemen Bastards novel! Check out the trailer here.
- Inherit the Dead: A Novel by just about everyone under the sun — this looks interesting, love the idea.
