2021 got off to a slow start for me—17 books down, 5,281 pages (or the equivalent). But it’s a good start, with 3.8 average rating.
I really dislike the way it sounds like I’m whinging at the beginning of these posts lately. But 13 lousy review-ish posts? That’s just not good. Still, it’s better than last Fall, and the only way to go from here is up, right? Also, this isn’t my job, it’s not like anything bad is going to happen if I don’t keep up (Right? Right? Please tell me I’m right…)
I’m looking forward to the books I know I’m going to read in February, and to those I’m hoping to get to, too. I hope to be chippier on March 1.
Anyway, here’s what happened here in January.

(yes, this looks much worse, I recounted at the beginning the year, and things are a bit more accurate—I’m not sure where the E-Books got quite so off, but…man, that’s an intimidating number)

The Bookstooge
Bad things DO happen. The Book Ghost comes and cuts your head off. at midnight. on friday insert scary noises
ThemisAthena is still experiencing the bad security token comment issue, so I figure you probably will too. But what I don’t understand is why it is just you and her. Every other dotorg’r I follow I can comment just fine. At some point I’ll stop worrying about it.
Have you thought about using the disquis comment plugin/system? Or has the blog reached a happy medium for you?

Honestly, man, I’ve been so busy with other things that I haven’t given the comment thing much thought at all–it’s working, and I want to revisit it so it’s easier for everyone. But I just don’t have the mental space for it at the moment. I’ll look into disquis (I think I’ve used it on other sites many years ago…not a bad idea)

Very well laid out post! Happy February!
