I don’t have much to say, really. But it’s National Dog Day (as I posted about earlier), so why I don’t I share a picture of the girls that steal my spot on the bed, demand more than their share of my food, drive me nuts by barking at nothing, and generally make my life better every day.

The Killer’s Mark by M.W. Craven	Parks and Rec: The Underdog TV Show That Lit’rally Inspired a Vision for a Better America by Jennifer Keishin Armstrong	The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett, read by Mark Bramhall

There’s knowing before you start that you’re almost certainly going to love a new M.W. Craven book. Then there’s actdually getting to experience it. The latter is far, far better. I considered not going back to work tomorrow after starting The Killer’s Mark at lunch.

Am enjoying Armstrong’s look at Parks and Recreation, and the antepenultimate chapter (that I read last night) is better than the previous chapters combined.

Oh, I’m liking Hartnett’s latest far more than I expected to. I’m not that far off from the landing, and she seems to be sticking it. Bramhall’s narration is top-notch, too.

Wool by Hugh Howey	Ms. Mebel Goes Back to the Chopping Block by Jesse Q. Sutanto, read by Eunice Wong

Wool was everything you want in a dystopian novel. I’m not sure I was in the right mood for a dystopian novel, however.

Sutanto’s latest has all the heart and verve you expect. Some good laughs, too.
