Each year–at least each year that I remember–one of the things I try to talk about is the Publishing side of Self-Published Authors Appreciation. The Authoring bit gets all of the attention–and it’s easy to understand why. But–as I say in the videos this week–it’s the Publishing side that makes me admire and appreciate these authors more. This week I’ve been able to convince 4 (maybe 5–we’ll see how the week goes) authors to sit down with me and talk about their approach to the parts where they take their creative efforts and get them into the hands of the readers.
Today, I welcome JCM Berne back to the chatroom, I talked to him about Self-Publishing last year, too–this year we got into some different areas–getting into the audiobook market, finding the right editors (I don’t necessarily condone all his strategies, although they seem to have worked for him), how the market is doing this year, and other odds and ends. Honestly, I could do one of these a month (at least) with him, I have a lot of fun with this. I hope you enjoy this at least half as much as I did.
