  1. I love Seanan McGuire! I need to try this series. I think I have the first book. I love that excerpt you shared. Have a great weekend!

      The series is her most uneven, I think, but even in the books I wasn’t gaga over (like last year’s), they’re good enough to keep me coming back. She changes the narrators frequently–different members of the family taking over. So if you’re not a Verity fan, wait a bit, and maybe Alex is your flavor, or maybe Annie…

      I really recommend them.
